Dancing fire in the Wind, was almost getitng his first year of experience in a human hospital in New York City. He was glad that there were at least other two healers there too, and not just human doctros, so stupid to see that their medicine was useless. Soul's medicine was perfect in all ways, he hadn't ever known someone that hadn't gotten healed with that medicine... well only one annomaly in chicago. But as soon as the massive invasion occured, it would be dissposed of.
A week ago, a nurse walked into his office and gave him a file, when he opened it and saw the information. It was about a 15 year old female, Who had a very weird dissease, a heart condition in fact, so weird that souls didn't even considered on healing it, they agreed only to disspose of the bodies with it. "an annomaly?" then he smiled at the nurse and thanked her.
Along with the file, there was a letter from his superior, he would have to go to the city where the annomaly lived and check it by himself, work with Healer Singing out loud to the Moon, (Luke's father in fact known by humans as Dr. Saga Mckinnon), and get as much information as they can about the dissease.
So that day was his first day at work at the hospital in Chicago. He met Healer Singing out loud to the Moon. he walked into his office and greeted him with his soul name. "Good morning, healer Singing out loud to the Moon." but the healer looked at him and shook his head with a smirk. "please, just call me Dr. McKinnon or Saga, remember our mission here, my young Dacing fire in the wind." he said in low voice and a wink.
"Oh! I'm sorry, I'm Dr. Jones, Daniel Jones" he said and then they talked about the annomaly, he told him that the patient was close to him host's son, so they could have plenty of oportunities to check her and her evolution with an experimental soul medicine that Singing were giving her as a treatment.
But before her next scheduled appointment, Dancing fire would work there as his assistant and resident and he would have to act as a human, New York was more advanced in insertions than Chicago. "ok, then I'll do my best Dr. Mckinnon, I'll check out my office set in and then I'll go down stairs to check my fisrt patients" he said so and then did that. and hour after that he was already in emergencies helping people there.

The Calling of comforter was a much different experience on Earth than it was on other planets. On other planets, they weren't needed as much, it was so much easier to adjust to a host on other planets but on Earth it was a much harder job. It was the same with seekers but it was much more extreme when it came to that Calling, seekers had a very dangerous job on this planet when they were almost never needed on other planets. A comforter didn't have a dangerous job, just one that could be quite scarring to some souls.
Flying in the Dark enjoyed being a comforter because he was helping fellow souls. That wasn't the only reason though. He liked listening to what other souls had to say, he even sometimes like hearing about the memories that some souls had of their hosts life, though other memories made him nervous. His favourite part of his job was just helping souls get used to the overwhelming emotions that human bodies have and showing them how wonderful life on Earth could really be.
Being a comforter, Dark saw that a good amount of souls really enjoyed taking up the careers or hobbies that their hosts had had. At this stage, while it was so early in the invasion, no soul had a choice, they had to pretend they were their host but some liked doing the pretending. Dark was one of those souls. He was a musician, a drummer, which was what his host had been. He was also a comforter but to fit into the human world and earn money he played in the band that his host had started with a few friends.
His whole band usually played sport together, or went camping. At first, these activities had made Dark nervous because of how dangerous they could be but it didn't take long for him to get used to them and begin to enjoy them. Today had been a day where his band had went to the local oval to go play a game of rugby with a few other friends. Dark had been looking forward to it but now, sitting in the emergency area of the hospital, he regretted ever feeling safe playing the sport.
He'd had two friends help him into the building, down into a seat but they had left him right away. He didn't feel like that had been a nice thing to do as they were apparently friends but he hadn't said a word to them as they walked outside to go back to the rugby game. One hand was resting on his left leg, the other was full of tissues and pressed to the side of his head. He knew the tissues would be bright red by now, covered in his blood from the cut on his head.
He could remember his host sitting in the hospital a few years back, tissues in his hand pressed to the side of his head. Dark was almost sure he had reopened the healed wound from that time. He just hoped that there wasn't any bad damage.
He really hoped that he wouldn't be seen by a human doctor, he wanted to see a healer.

The day in the emergency room had been really busy and kind of tiring for Dancing Fire, but he enjoyed helping others, even when they were humans, after all, one day all of them would be souls too, so he should take good care of each of them. He just finished with a little girl and a bruised bleeding knee when a nurse told him that a guy just came in with a nasty cut on his head and that he was bleeding a lot.
Dancing Fire smiled at the nurse and then walked to the emergency room, where he saw the guy the nurse had just told him about, he would have been playing some human sport, those that are really agressive and violent, he was still wearing his uniform. Dancing fire walked to where he was and introduced himself, politely as any soul would do it. Being in a human body and having to poss as one, didn't mean that he should forget his soul's manners.
"Good day, I'm Dr. Daniel Jones, and I'm going to be your doctor" he said and then looked at a chart on a wall, looking for an empty bed for him. "could you come with me to the bed number 67?" he also wanted to see if the man could walk or not, just to know what medicines to use in him. He knew already that on humans well he must had to use human medicines with just a hint of soul's, so they didn't realize that something funny was going on.
He looked at the man again and waited for his answer, he couldn't see if the man was a human or already a soul. But the man could easilysee the silver shine in his eyes.

Flying in the Dark wasn't impatient as he waited by himself in the emergency room. He would have preferred it if someone had waited with him so he might be able to talk and not just sit in the uncomfortable seat reading signs and posters on the walls. He wasn't going to complain at all though, he was a soul and souls were patient. He would be able to wait there all day if he had to and not one word of annoyance or complaint would come from his lips.
That couldn't be said for most of the others waiting to see a doctor. He could hear a few different voices asking when they would be seen, or complaining about pain or beginning to get angry. He didn't see how they thought that would help in this situation, the emergency part of the hospital was very busy today and the only thing people could do was wait. Getting angry and complaining would do nothing but slow things down even worse and make their wait longer. They didn't want to have to even longer, did they? Dark would never fully understand humans, even if he was a comforter.
The clothes Dark was wearing were comfortable. Shorts and a shirt that matched the ones everyone else that he had been playing with would be wearing. The shirts had been made long before Dark had been inserted into his host. When he had remembered this it had put a smile on Dark's face, humans could be nice, they made very strong friendships and small things like making matching shirts for sports was something that showed they weren't the completely violent creatures a lot of souls believed them to be.
A doctor walked up to Dark and with a polite tone introduced himself. If the tone wasn't enough to work out that this doctor was a soul and a healer, the silver shine in his eyes was. Dark smiled, almost wanting to introduce himself using his soul name but there were many humans around and he had to use his host's name. "I'm Harris Regan." Dark said and looked up to try and make the silver shine of his eyes visible to the healer. "I'm not sure I can walk."
His leg hurt but Dark wasn't sure at all what was actually wrong with it. With his shorts, he wasn't able to really see if he was bleeding or bruised without pulled up the material which he hadn't bothered to do yet. All he knew was that he wouldn't be able to walk, he had needed the help of two people to get here. He wasn't too sure if he would want to play sport again after this happening. His host had never let an injury stop him but Dark was different, he didn't think of injuries as nothing. He knew that everything could be fixed with the souls medicine but he still didn't like the idea of doing something again after it had caused him a bad injury.

Dancing looked at the patient and noticed the silver light in his eyes and smiled, he was glad he was a soul, so he would be able to treat him in the right way and heal him in a second, and he wouldn't be in pain longer. "ok, I'll bring a wheel chair, please wait a second."
After a minute, he walked back with a wheel chair and a male nurse helped him to place Harris on the chair. "thank you, I'll take him to the checking room" he told the nurse and then he drove the chair. "don't worry, you'll be fine in a minute." he said in a lower voice as he was driving the chair down the hall.
He opened a door and walked in with Harris, then closed the door and looked at him. "I'm Dancing fire in the Wind, nice to meet you, I'll bring real medicine, to heal you, but I'll have to put your leg in a fals cast... ok?"
