Another fight. How many would it take for Emily to die? For her to get seriously hurt instead of just a few cuts and bruises? Was she even made for this world, or was she just getting ready for her own demise? Was this her fate, to be killed in some house party by some crazed girlfriend? Should she be more careful, stay at home? She knew she couldn't do that. It would go against everything she lived for, worked for. Emily lived to the fullest, not afraid of anything.
Should she change her ways? She thought all of this as she quietly sat in a small clinic. She was waiting to be seen by the doctor so that he could bandage up the large cut that extended down from her forehead to her chin. She held a white towel to it now which was now stained with the color of her own blood, a deep crimson color that now, as it started to dry, was fading to brown. A few people looked at her with shocked looks on her face, seeing a girl who was as pretty as her with such a large cut.
The blood came down her face, ruining her small white tank top and getting some on her black skinny jeans. She knew that there wasn't much someone could do for blood stains. She wondered for a moment if the cut on her face was going to scar, and if it was would it ruin her complexion, making people afraid of her or be small enough to hide under some cover up? She hoped it was the latter.
She sighed and fiddled with a small strand of fabric that was ripped and jagged from the towel, hoping that she could just get this over with. She had gotten the cut from a girl who hated her, coming at her with a broken bottle. Why did people hate Emily so much? She was overall really nice, maybe a little too nice. Maybe that was why they hated her: because their boyfriends liked how nice she was more than they liked their girlfriends. She sighed once more, waiting for the doctor to come in.

Dancing fire in the Wind, was almost getitng his first year of experience in that human hospital. He was glad that there were at least other two healers there too, and not just human doctros, so stupid to see that their medicine was useless. Soul's medicine was perfect in all ways, he hadn't ever known someone that hadn't gotten healed with that medicine... well only one annomaly in chicago. But as soon as the massive invasion occured, she would be dissposed of.
a nurse walked into his office and gave him a file, he opened it and saw the information. 16 year old female, cut from the forehead to the chin, he sighed and shook his head. "barbarians" then he smiled at the nurse and thanked her.
he walked down the hall and opened the curtain from the bed where the girl should be. He looked at her and frowned a bit, not because of the cut or the blood, bu tbecause she would have been a perfect soul, she was like a goddess. perfect blue eyes, pale skin and black hair, it reminded him of a human fairytale... "snow white..."
he muttered and then shook his head. "i'm sorry, I'm Dr. Jones, Daniel jones. and you are?"

Emily continued to play with the strand of broken fabric on the end of the towel, contemplating her life and her actions that continued to get here in the emergency room, but also with bruises and people hating her. Could she really change who she was, becoming a loner but also ignoring everyone unlike the way she was now, where everyone was her friend and everyone was wroth talking to? She sighed, just as the curtain opened.
Her mouth dropped wide open. The doctor, she assumed he was the doctor, was amazingly hot. Beautiful even. His eyes were a beautiful shade of blue-green while the rest of his body and face were perfect. She didn't even notice the silver gleam behind those eyes. He was probably one of the hottest guys she had ever met, or even seen. Not even Brad Pitt could stand up next to him and look good. Was it seriously possible that she had found a guy who was so hot, that was a doctor but also just in a random clinic in New York? Was she even that lucky?
His words confused her momentarily, talking abut Snow White. "Emily Manson, nice to meet you. It would have been a lot better on other circumstances, though." She say, laughing. "Uhm, I got cut." She says, a little dumb struck as she points to the blood covered towel that was still pressed against the side of her face. She smiled stupidly.

Dancing looked at her while she was talking, Her voice was extremely sweet but at the same time was strong and full of life. How a human could be like that?! "nice to meet you Emily" He said and then lifted his hand and placed it on hers, the one holding the bloody towel. He felt her warm hand and smiled, it reminded him of the amazing fire in his home planet.
He held the towel and took it off her cheek. "I'll have to check the cut..." he said and then looked closer, and there he could smell her perfume and it was perfect. He frowned and closed his eyes for a second then opened them again, looking right into the cut.
"it is not really deep, so I'll heal it in..." he could have heal it in just a couple of minutes, but for a weird reason he wanted to see her again. "... two weeks" he smiled at her and then took a ball of cotton and began to clean the blood from the cut, it was still bleeding, but first he was going to use human medicine, and in two weeks, he would use the soul's medicine.
"you won't ger even a slight line on your pretty face" he winked at her. Why he was so nice to her?! she was just a barbarian!! Or not?? maybe someone attacked her. "how did you get it?"

Emily frowned, though she was happy that she would get to come back and see his face, hear his voice, maybe even get a date or something out of it. Even a simple kiss would soothe her crazed thoughts of him. He was just so pretty, she thought to herself. She was so happy she was good at keeping her lips locked. She would probably have been in a lot of other crazy situations if it hadn't been that way. She was strong, and she could hold her own, she knew that. It was her life, and she would keep it that way.
She smiled at him, the whiteness of her teeth gleaming brightly in the light that was shone on her face, giving Daniel a good look at the cut. She smiled bigger when he said 'pretty face', which meant that in some sort of fashion he thought she was pretty, even if it was strictly professional. Except for the wink brought her eyes to a fading bliss, making everything else but him fog away into a deep mist. Her body felt numb, except of course the stinging sensation in the side of her face because of the cut.
"I was at a party... girls tend to think I'm trying to steal their boyfriends when I hangout and talk with them. I guess I'm just too nice/" She says, a small fake frown on her face. She couldn't hold it long before she started laughing. "Aren't you a little young to be a doctor, Daniel?"

Dancing looked at her beautiful smile and he didn't know why it made him smile too, it was something warm and different inside him, something that he had never felt before, not even once in all his past lives.
He listened to what had happened to her, and shook his head kind of upset, "as I've always said... Barbarians!" then he placed some soul medicine "clean" he wanted to see Emily other times, but he didn't want her injure to get infected! "someone should have done something, like... protecting you" he looked at her and frowned again, what was going on with him?! PROTECTING a human?!
then he took some small bandaids and placed them all along the cut, he was joining the borders gently when she told him he was too young to be a doctor. He looked at her eyes and smiled, he couldn't help himself, if she smiled, he smiled too.
"well, I'm in my almost second year of med school, so I thought it would be better if I started working since I could" then he placed a small white cloth over her cut and placed small transparent taps to hold it to her face. "I'm 19 years old, but don't worry, I'm still off the operating room"
He finished the bandage on her face, then he stepped back and smiled at her. "but that allowed me to meet you" he smiled and then sighed, he didn't know why, but he didn't feel threatened by that human, he didn't even felt the need to insert a soul in her brain!! he wanted to know her more.

Emily's brow furrowed when he said 'barbarians', wonder if he was talking about teens like her or something more. This is when she noticed the silver gleam in his eye, hidden behind the beautiful blue-green. But, unlike everyone else she had met with it, it didn't scare her. She was amazed by her sudden braveness towards it. Ever since her parents had gotten the gleam, they had become different, strange. They frowned upon Emily's actions instead of being cool with them like they used to. She wasn't really doing anything all that bad... was she?
Emily winced for a moment before he applied from sort of... she didn't even know. But instantly she felt small pricks inside the wound, like when you put peroxide on a cut. Except, unlike with peroxide, it didn't hurt. Not at all. It felt weird more than anything. She looked up at him, sure she had never felt this before. Was it some kind of new medicine? She was sure she had never heard of it, even if she didn't watch the news. "Are you saying someone should protect me?" She asked, smiling lightly as she continued to fall deeper for him.
How could someone she had just met already care that she was getting hurt? That she should be protected? She had never thought of it that way. She had just assumed they didn't need to, seeing that she could handle her own. She hadn't noticed the horrible pain in her stomach about no one caring about her until now. She looked up at him, tears welling up in her eyes. She had just met him, and he already cared more than anyone.
"Yeah, it was nice meeting you." She whispers, her eyes now trained on the floor.

Dancing looked at her, there were tears running down her cheeks, and for a weird and strange reason, was like acid running all along his veins right into his heart, he hated to see those tears, but not because he hated her or because he would be disgust with her tears and feelings, NO! it was because it hurt him to saw her crying.
"of course I think you should be protected" he said and then sighed, he frowned a bit and using his hand, and all the tenderness that he could be able to, he lifted her face by her chin, so he could see her face. "please... don't cry..." he didn't noticed it, but he was being even more sweet and tender with her, than he had ever been with any other soul!
he looked around and noticed that no one was there with her. "my shift finishes in five minutes, if you let me, I'd like to walk with you back to your home, so I'll be sure you'll be ok" he didn't know why, he just thought it was the right thing to do. He smiled gently at her.

Emily smiling, wincing as he made her move her cheek, which pulled at her wound. It obviously wasn't fully healed, actually, it wasn't healed at all. The small wince of pain shout through her whole body, hitting all of her healing bruises. She had gotton in way too many fights lately, and it wasn't the best thing to be moving around too much. But how could she stay at home, while life was waiting for her right outside her door? She needed to live her life to the fullest, just as she did everyday.
As if her life was going to end. Little did she know, it very well might be the very next day. She was associating herself with way too many SOuls, even if she didn't know it. Luke, her parents and now Daniel? As she just attracted to them, naturally? She was always in the middle of danger, for her whole life she had been. It was just her life, and she knew nothing more. Is that why now she was right slam in the middle?
"I'd love for you to do that, Daniel." She says, before her mind even registered what he had said. YES! OH MY GOD! YES! Her mind was screaming this over and over. She was seriously going to be walked home by the hottest guy she had EVER met!

Dancing looked at Emily and then smiled, she was the closest thing to a soul in that barbarian and brute world. He smiled and then sighed. "i'll see you in five minutes, don't go, ok?"
He smiled and then turned back, he needed to go, to stay away from her, why he was feeling like that?! she was human no matter what, she was part of the irrational race that was still in charge of that beautiful world.
He went to sign some papers and to change his clothes to normal, jeans, a blue shirt and some converse. He walked back and the moment he saw her he couldn't help it but he smiled at her.
"here" he gave her a small thin square. "eat it, it's a new kind of pain killer, it won't make you feel nasty things, it will just make the pain of the cut go away" he smiled and then sighed, she definetely was someone he needed to take care of.
